PURPOSE
The wastewater disinfection unit is designed to remove pathogenic viruses, pathogenic bacteria and fungi from the treated efluent.
THE PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The disinfecting effect is achieved by damaging the pathogenic molecules due to photochemical radiant energy. The installation consists of a disinfection unit and a control panel. The body of the unit is made of stainless steel AISI 304. The germicidal lamp is installed in a quartz casing, which waterprooing is provided by a sealing gasket. The process of bactericidal irradiation is as follows: water under pressure enters into the water disinfection unit, where viruses and bacteria are deactivated by exposure to ultraviolet rays with a wavelength of 200-300 nm. A lush pump is used to periodically lush the quartz casings.
